I just came back from seeing Nochoy dozor (for those who dont read russian: Night watch) and I really cant see whats so bad about it.
I think many people missed the fackt that its the first part of a trilogy. I have immense hope and suspence for the next two. Dnevnoy Dozor (day watch) is currenly in production, and Im looking forward to seeing it. Maybe we'll learn about the daywatch a little better..seeing as how they're techincally the bad guys :D
I loved the intro, the classic battle of good vs evil was really brought out the same way I would have had in mind if I'd written a book about it (exept for the vampires..im..not too hot about vampires in general. But I liked the movie none the less.) and since its based on a book..well.. yeah. beats the hell out of the overly sterilized underworld. a movie im still convinced was the worst spent 2 hours of my life, exept for catwoman and van helsing.
Thats also another point im going to praise. The fact that even if people were SUPAH SPECIAL YEAH! with mega powah and shit, they were...unremarkable in real life. people you..wouldnt really notice at all.
Raw, and some shots look like they were done on LOOOW buget, athough the digital animation is be-utiful. A refreshing change from hollywood's toned bodybuilders and anorexic chicks in bathing suits.
I have high hopes for russia's film studios. and hope to see more things, for something diffrent...and in russian. One of the more beautiful languages in the world in my opinion.
On another note....Howls moving castle is showing on the film festival this sunday in Háskólabíó, at 17:40. I urge anyone in the city with even the slightest intrest in anime to go see. Its Miazaki. he can do no wrong.
Gods know me and regina are going, shes only seen Spirited away, while i've seen most of his movies. but we both screamed (in a girly way I might add) when we saw the scedule for the fest.
I cant wait to see it! its going to be the fist actual anime movie I see in the theater. ever. (I live on a rock in the middle of the bloody ocean..give me a break.) and im happy its a Hanyo miazaki one.
I also own advent children now. Have yet to watch it. Im scared.

well..after 2 trips down to the post office to fax something, and waiting for like..a week, I finally got my RVB season one dvd. Now..it dosnt play in the dvd player connected to the tv... but im not pissed. I think its supposed to be that way..and if not..well..tough luck. I dont need to watch it in the tv anyways.
I really..really want the other two series. (Hint hint. its christmas soon!)
naw..im kidding...you guys would never bother. You guys just do what you regularly do. run down to tiger and buy me like.. 600 kr. worth of crap instead.

anyway... Personally..I love the new intro to the first series, the music..so much better (being a particular fan of trocadero's guitarwork) and simply much better fitting for the series..less action based y'know? (It might spoil the surprise about tex though...man..I remeber when there was SO much speculating because tex was in camo in the first intro..heh..people swearing they saw tex running around somewhere..it was funny..)
and I just love the text..i dont know why..but something about the song just makes you wanna sing along..
I expecially like this part:

the puma thing ofcourse a refrence to the warthog.
man..I am so tired right now.

I dont see what's so "not as good as usual" about human after all (daft punk.)
I still say its as yummy as the next album. exept for discovery... and its hard to top that album. So... Human after all really meets my expectations..why I didnt buy it sooner is anyones guess...maybe because I hate the main music store here for owning the market, and really not being that good at all.
I also bought demon days (gorillaz) which ofcourse rocks. But we all knew that. I thought it was time to buy it, even if I had it all downloaded in my comp. im just..All for supporting the artist. which happens to include Damon Albarn, who is awesome. and owns a house here. (hey vera..wheres that autograph you got anyway?)
the weather is bollocks (Im english for now). its been windy and freezing in the night. well...freezing at day too. but..more so in the night.
So I wear my new AWESOME hat (which I have to get haggis or alex to take a photo of. so I can show off my octopus hat.) my mother knitted.
oh. and my scarf..together they form a band of green warmthness no cold can get though.
I need a new wintercoat... and I need someone to come shopping with me (trust me. I wont like it any more then you.) in all those horribly old-woman looking shops. y'know..that sell like..only coats? cuz I think I kinda need one that will last a bit longer then one winter..
Also. alex and haggis. I be working tomorrow (well..technically today..since its after midnight)..but how does the day after that sound for café going? you guys know my number...well..haggis. maybe you dont, but its 8441256 for you (and all you stalkers out there). so give me a ring yeah?
Id also love the company tomorrow at work. after 6 pm, café mokka!

So alex is on a LAN in her school, or so I was told. Alex..you have about 16 missed calles from me on your cell (which you forgot at your friends place.) because well..I was at teh café (vín) and omg... It was if they had a sale on "british accent in a can" in the next 7/11.
After sitting there for about 2 hours, I grew bored with scribbling on paper and watching shit on boba fett, so I left for mokka. Im opening at 9. which means I wake up at 8.
damn..
anyway, me and regina are probably gonna come bug you after work tomorrow alex. be prepared.
Oh..and one last thing I want to add before I leave you to slumber for about 6 hours.

okay..Im feeling a lot better. which will probably change tomorrow, since im going to work.
what makes my job suddenly so spiteful you ask? well..y'see..theres this coffee machine there..and its 4 years younger then me (im 17, so that would make it 13 for you hard of thinking. like vera in scrabble) and well..you can imagine. its petty old for a pile of junk yes?
So..the thingwe use to make the milk all..special? its overheating. Wonderful. and I keep fucking burning myself. like...badly. durned painful I might add.
Also forgot my sisers coffee to go cup, went today and asked selma if she'd seen it. she said no, I got worried. maybe the hag that owns the place tossed it? gods I hope not..I liked that cup.. well.. I guess i'll ask Hrönn tomorrow..she was the one who opened yesterday..
Vera's birthday is tomorrow. Gave her some moolah, and dragged her to the movies. It was good. HAPPY B-DAY MATE!

Its been ripping me for some time now, but I think it really hit me just now.
I was cleaning my room (yes. it happens.) when I found an orange wristband (the ones that you straighten out, then slap it against your wrist and it curls around you.)
as memory serves, I bought two of these on our Independence day (17 june, a few years back) and gave the green one to a certain someone.
the words we scribbled on these bands is really what brought my head down spinning.
I miss the way we used to be. and I don't understand why you decided to move so far away from us. the friends you had before.
I really miss you H. and I know other people do too.

I choke on the weather of Iceland, raindrops the size of a baseballs keep getting hurled at you (vertically btw.) by the wind, that is ALL RULING in this land of no living things exept for the heard of people insisting that icelantic weather isnt crazy, its just "got character".
well...you all know how much len likes rain, so lets not get more into the details of some of my summer-work days.
on other notes, I'll never get the shoe obsession some women have, I just dont get it. How they can tolerate the clutter and why they think they'll ever wear half of them.... makes me shudder.
Also, vera seems to be somewhere in greece or something right now, out of the blue. Since I've been abnormally busy this summer, Ive had a harder time meeting her, and this makes me a sad panda, anyway... have fun hunting hydras or whatever you do on a small island outside of athens.
personally, im thinking of taking a small trip to the uk this winter, still undecided where, because I can easily see myself enjoying ireland, scotland and england.. Im leaning torwards ireland at the moment though..
gotta find myself a job...maybe i'll just wandering in the icelantic desert, and wait for the devil to appear and offer me all the riches in the world...though...im not jesus, and I dont have any LSD on me, so..that might be a problem.
Ended up spending over 3 hours down in nexus, putting books on the shelf and chatting with people like Kuma chan, who I saw for the first time wearing glasses, also bitched about why noone was taking the new dvd's out of the box..damn them lazy bastards..My sister (who was pretending to be busy calling people and asking about books) also gave me a list of people and phone numbers which to call and bug them about unreturned dvd's, had the time of my life pretending to be my sister going "Halló..Helgi? já, beta úr nexus hérna.." (hello, helgi? yes, Beta from nexus here..)
beta is short for elísabet, she is not part of a beta testing.
well..im off, there are cats that need my attention.

well...that was fun...anyway.. went home sick today, pretty goddamn sucky, but i've rarely felt as frkn bad...and I cant for the love of me figure out why. but hey...thats how it goes.. hmm..
finished watching gargoyles, and I loves it, me and Elísabet watched em all when i was younger, so I could pretty much remember most of them after I started watching. I still love Brooklyn, he's awesome.

now all i have to do is wait for the second series to come out on dvd..although that may take some time, since its about the size of a football field, (its more then fifty episodes..yes..just the second series.) but hopefully, I wont have to wait much longer then say..early next year.

I really shouldnt be allowed to remember my childhood, specially the tv shows I watched, wanna know why?
well...y'see...these past days, ive been thinking alot about this show they used to air on channel 2 (stöð 2) when I was 7-8 years old, I loved them so much! these shows..were called Gargoyles (vera, you'll remember these.)
well...long story short, I started reading about them on imdb, and started remembering more and more, and finally, I wanted to watch them again, so..amazon to teh rescue!
I get the first season sent to me in about 10 days or so.
BUT! to quell your screams of "WHAT! yer wastin yer money kid!" i'll tell you it only costs me 2000 isk.
so there.
Anyhoo..im happy about this, I really am. So it dosnt matter if you post "omg grgoyles totallie suxxors."

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
EXAMS ARE OVER FOR LEN! YAY! SPONTANIOUS FLEMENCO DANCING!
awwyeah.. *jigs* danish went well, i mean better then usual. which makes me belive faintly that I'll pass it, I was getting ready for staring at the paper for an hour.
the only bad thing I can say is that for a moment, I couldnt find the icelantic word for ambition (metna?ur) but I did..so there...
in other news, I sketch like a man-beast. This was apparent when I said "we're out of paper." to my mother. Who had not long ago bought 300 blank pages, whereas about 50 actually went to the printer, about 250 were scribbled on by yours truly.
og that, lets say.. about 150 ended up in the garbage, because jesus didnt love me that day and made me draw crappy shit, like.. papayas.
So...there are about a 100 pages scattered around the apartment, this I can belive, because everywhere I look I see something and think "oh yeah... I was gonna draw that again.." And then dicard the thought. I need a sketchbook. please love me and give me a new one.
ugh..next year will be colorful..I plan to enroll in FB (fj?lbraut brei?holti) with regina, which is good, beause she'll have a car and a licence soon, so she can drive me there and force me to go to class.
I drew this yesterday, yes, it was one of those days jesus hates me, but theres something in his expression that feels like ME in there..

Damn! I was moving through my laptopjust now, shifting though the endless painful music in it (potþétt diskar...its an icelantic thing, basically, all the most popular songs of the year are put on two disks, they mostly suck) but I did actually manage to move quite a bit of GOOD songs out of the trash!
GOOD SONGS! I mean.. some of these are oldies, and some of these I've been looking for for ages.. couse..some are for the entertainment value.. anyone who dosnt think eye of the tiger by survivor is funny, has no humor.

you know... when I was younger, saying that when I grew up, i'd look more forward to "the lion witch and the wardrobe" movie, more then star wars episdode 3, id say "BLASPHEMY!" and then, jesus would come and knife you.
But now..Im not so sure.. I mean..sure, star wars 3 is gonna be better then I and II, because..lets face it..they werent any prizes.
oh sure, sure..Darth moul was cool..Qui gon was..alright, even if he was..technically wrong (remember in a new hope, when obi wan says yoda trained him? nah..I bet you dont. But im telling you know..FACE!)
well, thats really all.. Boba fett is proving to be the most wonderful boyfriend a girl like me could possibly want, but seeing as how I finished all the episodes of lost, I am slightly homicidal because I want to know what the hell is going to happen.
